I read many posts on this forum that PIAAs blow out quick and I thought everyone was just installing it right since my lasted... for 6 months... and today.. one side is dead.
From what I read on this forum.. I found that
piaa - Looks great, but expensive and burns out quick.
mTec - Looks great and cheap, but burns out even quicker than PIAAs.
Sylvania - Doesn't look as great, but still better than stock... cheap and lasts a while...
HID - most expensive and requires more work than just changing bulb, but looks great (will never burn out?)
Stock - Looks like normal, will last a LOOOONg time.
So... what is your choice? I am thinking of Piaas again, but $55 every 6 months.. can come to some money.

Doesn't PIAA have a 1 yr warranty on their bulbs I got mine replaced when my PIAA's went out under a month. I installed mine in July of 2001 and the H4's are still kicking now my wedge PIAA's went out early.
I would love a HID kit but I could see someone jacking them and with the $$$ involved in buying them its not really worth it since my deductible wouldn't help me.

well you forgot to include CUZOS in your list- the look almost like HID's no blue tint at all, and they are cheap about 30 bucks.. the last longer than piaas do and ive had my set for almost the full time i have had the car and i have clear headlights.
ive had my car for almost 2 years now..
check out Hiper Ind. I had those bulbs anre they are awsome!!!

very blue!! awsome!!!
if I didnt have projectors i would still have Hiper bulbs!!!!

I guess if you don't have the real thing (H.I.D) then don't bother. Replace a few sets of those bulbs and you already have half the cost of an H.I.D kit.

I've heard differently from lots of people. Many say that they last longer and are considered the best. Quote

My MTEC are still working perfectly fine after 4-5 months. The glass is not bubbled or anything and the light is still hyperwhite. Quote

I used to have the PIAA Super Plasma GT, but sold it... didn't like the purple beam. I had them for 2 months, so i'm not sure how long they would last.
My choice goes to MTEC! =)
My PIAA platinums give me no problems. I used PIAA bulbs on my eclipse and those lasted over a year, I traded in the car with those bulbs in it still working and all. I guess you gotta be careful when you install them.
I used to have PIAA's and they lasted like a year and a half until one burned out and I had to changed them...I bought some eurolite and those things were just so UGLY! and I just went back to stock....since they match with my OEM fogs
