i just bought erebuni shogun kit and its fiberglass i know how to install back and frotn but whats the easiest non permanent way to install side so far i think im just gonna use 3m doule sided tape and screws in well's is it that neccesary to screw under neath too.. i just need to think of a way to jack up and screw w/o killing myself with shitty stock jack...lol. anyays post below with what you did and how it worked out or if you had problems.. thanx alot

On my 96 I just used a floor jack, no problems.

floor jack it.... and put it up on jack stands..... safest way man.....
and if ur car too low to get floor jack under.... park it on sum thick slab of wood......
that's what i had to do when i had my car slammed.....

i really wouldnt need to take off wheels to put on sides would i, my dad bought me some of those drive up/on ramps their like a foot high i think that should work fine to put sides on and then back and front i'll just do on flat ground its not that hard to get under car...

i cant get a jack under my car with my kit on .. that is how u know your car is slammed enough

Be carefull on those ramps man. When I put my car on those ramps it went up ok but in the way down the fron bumper got caught on the ramp. Needless to say that I got my car down form the ramps but they left a big a** black mark from where the bumper hit the ramps. ON Both Sides. I guess I should have taken my bumper off before coming back down the ramp. Just use jacks man

If you can't fit a jack under it just drive it onto a 2x4 and it should clear.

No need for jacking it up even, you can do it in front of your apartment, or in your driveway.
If it's a 7th gen, you can just use 3 screws on each side of the sideskirts, doublesided tape wont really hold it that well and from experience is best just to keep areas that push out a bit more, if any, down to the body...

Supplies:
12 screws
3m to hold near any small gaps and make it look better.
Appropriate screw driver
And Any things you can use to make the holes in the side panel, or mud flaps, if necessary.

There are 2 ways that I consider easiest:

First step way 1&2:

1&2-1. Determine if it is necessary to paint the screws. If so, paint screws with touch-up paint from honda $5.39 after tax in houston..[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] (Comes in a nailpolish type container)

Way 1:

1-2. Place kit, figure out where the drills will be made for the screw. Use whatever necessary to mark drilling location.

1-3. Drill thru the side-skirts.

1-4. Drill thu the body via the side-skirts, or mark on the body from the holes in the side-skirts. Repeat on the other end of the side-skirt (so as not to have it fall, having something or someone hold it in place during drilling might be a good idea), then repeat for the other 4 screws (Refer to 3A about screw painting).



Way 2:

2-2. Or you can just have a buddy hold the kit firm on one side, drill (use an upainted screw if you need to use one) the holes thru the side-skirt and the body simultaneously.

2-3. After the first screw is in, repeat on the other end of the side-skirt into the front/back fender. Then repeat in any order to finish the other 4 screws on that side-skirt. Don't forget to paint the screws to make them go mostly or partially unnoctiable (Note: it may not be necessary to paint the screws due to the plastic piece being black inside the fenders...

2-4. Repeat for the other side-skirt, then you have a finished product.

so im dumb but i have the same question about getting the side skirts on. so the way i see it you all are saying I should just drill them into the body with a drill??? What size screws would work best???

I will check my screws, but I have philips head screw that are no bigger than about a 1/2 inch, as a estimate, I was just down there lowering my gc's, I'd say 1/2 inch or less is fine, especially with 3 screws.

i bought #8 stainless steel self tapping screws 1/2 inch long 16 of the 3 for back well 3 underneath and 2 in front well. and then ultra heavy duty super hold 3m exterior double sided tape. for the top edge. thoat should work good. im gonna drive the back up on rampa just to giuve myself more room under and in well so i dont have to bend dopwn as much and put on and then drive off and put back kit on and then front.

That double-side tape will cure those little gaps.
