3156 vs 3157

I haven't found any threads of someone talking about this aspect of the 3157/3156 bulbs........

We all know that the 7443 bulb is dual filament and the 7440 bulb is single filament. For the stock headlights you buy the 7440 bulb if you want the light to stay off until to turn on your turn signal.

I have the TYC projectors. They use the 3157 bulb. I want to switch to a LED bulb.

My question is......Will the 3156 LED Bulb stay off until I use my turn signal?

Basically

7443=3157 (dual) = Light is on and blinks when signal is used
7440=3156 (single) = Light is off until signal is used

Is this how it would work?

yes, they should. but i havent been able to find any 3156 LED bulbs, so good luck.
also, im sure you know this already, but the LED bulbs will make your blinkers into hyperblinkers.

You mean this? It should be the 7443 because it says Dual Filament
