Is it possible to install this exhaust system into an lx civic? The web sites Ive searched have said that they fit ex civics only, but can ex and lx civics differ that much that lx's cant have this exhaust system?

Ya bro, they differ in the position of the cat. Basically if you tried to put it on your lx. the piping would be about 2-3 feet short. The ex cat is position a lot farther down the exuast pipes then the dx/lx. With the lx your cat is directly connected to your header. Kinda sucks because we, (I drive a dx) don't quite have as many options as the EX owners. But then again, we didn't pay as much
Edit: You could make it work you would just need to get the EX exuast system from the header to the cat. But it's not really worth the extra expense in my eyes. Go with the Tanabe Racing Medallion
