B series engine mounts ??

I just talked to HAsport and asked if they were planning on making mounts for putting a b-series engine in the 7th gens. He said that they had talked about it but they are not prototyping it or anything right now. I was just curious how many people would consider doing a b-series engine swap in their civic. I would like to do one next winter and i'd much rather do a b18 swap than a K20 cause it'd be cheaper and easier to build power right away. I really want to do that but i don't feel confidant enough to make my own mounts, and i don't want to pay any of the shops around here to do it, so the only way for me is if somebody makes a kit. Anyhow, i was just thinking if i could get a list of people who would consider this swap then maybe that would persuade them into puting together some motor mounts for us. Any input is appreciated

Yes and no. Yes it is illegal to put an older engine into a newer car. No because you can put a B18 from a 2001 integra into a 2k1 vic.

The odds of having a company make mounts for B-series motors in a 7th gen civic is very unlikely. Due to the fact that it would have to be a B18 out of a 2001 intrgra and it would only be made for 2001 civic, not 2001 and up. So unless you go custom and live where there is no emissions checks then go ahead.

they don't do emissions checks where I live, so i'm not too concerned about that. A company could make a kit for 2001 up civics for "race use only" that's what HAsport said they were going to do for a while.

The B series would be such a snug fit in our engine bay, it would be hard to do anything to it. It would be like sticking a H22 in a CRX. Lots of custom stuff i would imagine. The K series barely fits...you have to get a smaller radiator to make it work. So sure a B18 would be great to have, but not in our car where it would be hard even to stick a SRI on. you could do some internal work, but i doubt a turbo would fit anywhere seeing how its a swueeze even with our engine. Just my thoughts,
Cheers
