5 Point Seatbelts

I did some searching on this forum, and came up empty.
I was wondering if anyone has 5 Point belts in their car, and if they had to install a harness bar, rollcage, or if their is some other way to attach the belts. I would evetually like to get some of these in my car as well as some sparco's. Thanks!

I think this might have come up before, but I can't find it either. My impression from that post was that a 5 point harness is only designed to be used with a roll cage and a helmet. If you use just the seats and the belts you could get seriously injured. Hopefully not.

Keep in mind that 5 point seatbelts are illegal for street use. You must use your stock seatbelts.

A California Highway Patrol gave us a 30 minute informative speech on car crap, and some shocking stuff came out. Sure the 5pt seatbelt will keep you glued to the seat in case of an accident, but according to research it can cause greater damage to your body. And once again, if you don't believe me go ask any cop.

Also, not a whole lot of seats are made for five pointers, I've actually never seen a street seat with it. Four point belts are probably what you are thinking of.... and yes they are illegal....and good luck reaching anywhere in the car with them in, remember they do not retract.... you are strapped in tight....

It's not illegal if you don't get caught.

I don't think they are illegal in Iowa either My green underbody, and a lot of others have been rolling around lately cause they are not illegal here!
