I was just wondering when you guys got your bumpers/kits painted, did you just tell them that you wanted your car painted OEM Honda Black (ie)? Did you take it to Honda for that perfect match. Well I am putting my kit together now and I am gonna have to get my pieces painted soon so i just wanted some suggestions from guys/girls who have went thru this, because i was just gonna take it to a friend of mine who owns a colision place to do it. well u shouldnt have to tell the shop you take it too because they will know that you want it matched to the rest of the car, so they will get the paint code of the door jamb and then paint it acccordingly. You might want to remember them to try to blend the paint the best they can especially on black red and silver cars.. other than that your fine.

they will prob just want your paint code (ie B96P), so your friend should be able to do it. I have had stuff painted at honda and at a friends body shop and it looks the same. one thing you might want to ask is if there anr any varients to your paint[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

They will read your paint code on the door frame. Then they will mix some paint and match it..

I get my stuff painted at the Cadillac and Hummer dealer in my town and they match perfect, even the crap that shows only when the sun hits it right[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

to get my back bumper painted it cost me 400....at a dealership of course, but it should be respectful at most dealerships
