Cool. I've got Coolblues on right now and they don't seem white enough to me. Do these MTECs really light up the road well? Compared to stock, how many times more would you guys say? I know it won't be anything near as intense as HID, but I'd like to get as close to HID as possible and these MTECs seem like a good bang for the buck.1

I'd say it's 1.5-2 times brighter than stock...something like that.

The LED 194s are not bright... i've seen them on jaaaap's ride in person and it's VERY dim.
Just get the generic ones from autodynamic, they are like $4 a pair..

Then there's Polarg which is pretty hyperwhite too, but costs $10

Well they appear to be as bright as 110/130W according to the box, so that's 2/2.1 times brighter than stock i.e. 55/60W, but again, it's just focusing the light, not actually more lumens. In any case, I too am sold, wanna get a pair, but I also wanna get OEM style fogs and they require h11 bulbs. I haven't seen any h11 MTECs, do they have'em or does anyone else sell h11 that are just as bright?

or Here

I just installed Mtec bulbs along with polarg 194. They match nicely at night however in the day the polarg is more purplish color. The Mtec are much brighter than stock bulbs however not as bright as coolblue especially in the rain. I will post some pictures up next week when I get my digicam back.

ok heres what happened with my mtecs when i installed them a week ago. first when i looked at the bulbs in the package, the top of the

bulbs were leaning up against the back wall of the container. i checked out the bulbs and saw that some of the gray on the tip had rubbed

off. i was a little iffy about putting them in but i did.

later on that night i was driving to work and noticed off of the reflections of the cars in front of me that one side was a little dimmer and a

little yellow. i got to work and checked them out and noticed that the blue dome thing at the base of the bulb had come off and was just

chillin ON TOP of the bulb. i took out the bulb and saw that the dome had melted a little and there was a black burnt line on the bulb. well i

put it back in without the dome piece. i tried to take out dome on the other side too because you could tell that the colors were off

because of the reflection off of the blue. for the life of me i could not take it off. something was holding it on the inside, probably glue. so i

drove home like that.

after i got home i went out again to go get food when i noticed that one of my lights was not on. i looked inside and the bulb that still had

the dome on it blew up. i was pissed off! well actually i wasnt cuz i only paid like 15 bucks but still! the guy who sold it to me said i could

return it and get new ones no problem, which was pretty cool. but after i exchange it i probably wont put them on 1. for fear that the same

thing might happen again and ill have to remove my bumper to get the headlight out so i could shake out the pieces like i did, and 2. theres

a big difference in brightness between the mtecs and my silverstars. i felt kinda blind when i had the mtecs in (compared to silverstars). the

only reason why i got the mtecs was because i wanted a slight blue tint. but its ok the silverstars are a lot whiter than stock. i put my car

next to my friend who has a 7thgen too with stock headlights and mine were so bright. so white that compared to his mine did look kinda

blue. holy ****! i wrote an essay! sorry guys. i had to vent.

wow, sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with it. At least they were replaced for free...

and you're right about the light color in a reflection. When i'm stopped and stare at the reflection, it does look yellow.... but step outside and you will see it's REALLY white.. Strange no?
