I would say just search the forums and there are numerous stories of people with leaking headlights. But then again a lot of people have done this and had no problems with them fogging. I used my cleared headlights for at least 5 months or so before I got new headlights and never had any problems. It just depends on how well you seal them up. If they do leak, the headlights just have to be sealed up again.

Mine still aren't leaking after a few months. I just baked in the oven to loosen the goo; then I reheated them at the end to use the original goo as a sealer.

i didn't even bother putting any glue on them after i took them apart, there was soo much tar they stuck together fine...haven't had any leaks either in over 6 months. that tar really sucks though, i got it all over my hands and some of the light and it was a pain to clean them.

You shouldn't get any leaks if you use silicon sealant. That'll only cost you $4 at the most.

I got a tube of the silicone II sealant at Home Depot for 2 bucks. It works really well because this new type of silicone claims to be water resistant and will not shrink under heat. I have cleared my headlights for two months now. The weather has been pretty bad here in Dallas, but the housing is still staying dry. Just remember to put a lot of sealant on it. Better safe than sorry.

Man I know I sealed the hell out of mine with clear silicon and I got stuck in high water up to my headlights. My lights were actually lighting up the water and I barely got any water in them. Dried out after a day or two. Just seal em' tight.
