They said that you can use a CAI from the 02 Civic Si on the swap cause the RSX CAI's wont fit. What kind of numbers do you thing the 02 Si CAI will produce on the engine?
Cheers

Yeah swaps are "way cool" but isn't it just more cost effective to just sell the 7th gen and go buy an RSX-S?

I once thought so too.. but a RSX-S.. everyone knows what it's capable of... to see a Civic perform with a K20A or K20A2.. will make everyone go compared to a normal RSX-S performing like it's suppose to.

I personally have a bunch of *******s around me that have "middle class" cars around me that cap on my Civic's 127hp engine... I wish I can afford this so I can call them up n go.. "hey.. umm.. I wanna race your 2.5rs... your RSX... your Accord EX... your 4Runner...etc. etc." and make them shut the f!ck up. I would make a lot of money... but not enuff to cover for the swap.

It would be easier, but not cost effective, there's no such thing as cost effective when dealing with imports.

It's the fact that you spent some $3-5k to replace your engine with a much better one. Typically, this does end up with some cash savings in the long run, since after a couple years those RSX motors/ECUs will cost somewhat less. For those of us who can't just buy an RSX-S outright, or spend some $300-400/month on payments, buying the less costly Civic allows us some time to get the cash together for the engine. Also, if you drop a k20 into your coupe, I'm pretty sure you have some weight savings too, since the coupes do weigh less than the Si and the RSX-S. Not much weight savings, but savings nonetheless.

Besides, swaps are cool. Being able to pop the hood on your LX or EX and show that i-VTEC stamp on the head is a very satisfying feeling.

I don't know that feeling yet, but gimme a couple years.
