new gauge cluster?
i have a 01 civic automatic dx. i really dont want a big tachometer on my dash so i would rather have it in the cluster. the dx doesn't have a tach...what problems would i encounter by replacing the cluster with an ex/lx cluster? where could i find ex/lx clusters?

i also have a dx and swap a lx cluster in it, but that thing that would happen is that would lose your current mileage reading. but what i did is, i had about 10k on my current cluster and the lx cluster i bought had 12k, so i just waiting till i put another 2k on it, my mileage miles is not accurate but it like 2 or 3 miles off. but this depending on the ur mileage on your cluster and cluster you buy. tryin looking on ebay, and marketplace forum i saw a someone sellin a lx auto cluster a while back ago. get a lx cluster so the abs light wont be on, since dx doesnt have abs

Search the tech forum... Someone with a DX put a 3" tach into the bezel around the gauges. It was pretty non intrusive and wasn't noticable from outside the car. Plus you keep the milage that the car actually has and it was much cheaper than the $400 or what ever a cluster is.
