HAS ANYONE TRIED CATZ REAL HID HEADLIGHTS?
Anyone have any experience with Catz true HID headlights? The text here sounds good as they are supposed to make the OEM HID lights for Lexus.

I don't know about the quality of them, but by the pics, they look pretty nice. I think I heard that they will be making an 8000k kit too. Maybe we should try a group buy. It has that as an option on that site
I sent an email to Catz asking for the 5 set price on a group buy. Will post the reply if I get one.
Edit: Here's the email I got back on a group buy.
"They would be $430 shipped. ($75 off)

Hey Bartkat, thanks for inviting me over here.
There is no 8000K kit planned. The reason is because anything over 6000K is not useful.
Ideal range for optimum output is 4500K
Liteswap.com is looking for someone to put a dual beam H4 into a Civic and would give yout he group buy discount right away in exchange for pictures of your installation.
Email them.

looks good. I bet it is brighter in person... I havent been able to find a digital camera yet that can really capture how bright the HID lights are.
You can see though that the Catz lights up a much wider and larger area...

Which kit did you get the hi/low or just the low kit? Could you please take a picture of it overhead to see what the spread is? What kind of headlights do you have stock or projectors? Also, another question I have is how much glare is there? Please take a picture of it head on at the level you would be sitting in a oncoming car.
Thanks in advance.

I won't be able to get any pics at night at oncoming level, (I'm leaving for Fla in the AM and camera is packed) but I have some pics from standing 20 feet in front of the car. I'll post those. I don't see any glare as the bulbs have a shield on the bottom and the stock reflector (bulb nose cover) prevents looking head on at the acutal lights. I have adjusted the beams as per the instructions. The difference is that you adjust at 40 feet instead of 30 feet (standard) so it puts the beams just a little lower than stock.
Also some pics of the under hood installation.
The pics of my CATZ HID compared to Sylvania Silverstars are on the Liteswap website.
