Under body light kit
Im curious, i kno blue and red are illegal, but if i buy white lights for under my car and have them on, can i get pulled over? are they illegal?

Rep Power: 365 I believe the law is that you cannot have any underbody lights on when in traffic. But if you're in a parking lot or something with them on, I don't beleive theres any law prohibiting that.

Rep Power: 329 In NH the law says all after market lights mounted to the exterior of the car must be Amber colored in the front of the car, and Red in the back of the car, side marker lights may be Amber, Red or Green. So technically, in NH, you could buy two/three body kits, and have two/three colors and be legal....but that would look pretty bad now wouldent it. I called the police dept. to inquire about the exact law after I got pulled over in Goffstown for having green windsield washer sprayer LED's on my Jeep. If you are unsure about any law, just call your local police dept. and they should be happy to answer any question you may have.

Rep Power: 0 its kinda dumb why they are illegal they say its distracting to other drivers but if thats the case how come ferrari's and lamborghini's are not illegal i would think they distract people more than a freaking neon kit would. as for impersonating a officer who the hell thinks a car with a blue light under a car is a cop
whaa.....i remember researching this and i found 2 sites that said the exact same thing.......red, amber, and white undercars are legal as long as the bulb isnt visible and it is not TOO bright. any other colors are illegal.

Rep Power: 0 Where I live its currently not illegal to have these kits on your cars no matter what color they are. I went to the head of the traffic division of my city's police department and asked him, he looked it up and there was nothing, as well he said most officers dont bother with it. I currently have a red kit on my car and run it all the time at night and havent had any trouble about it. I got pulled over just before Xmas because I was "in a hurry" (not ticket thank god), and i had my kit on then and they never said Boo about it.
But this is in New Brunswick, Canada so I am not sure why they are different here, but I dont want to try and push it with the RCMP, cause I think they dont like it too much.

SO, if you CANT see teh kit form teh FRONT of teh vehicle, (check your state vehicle code for others) Then you are in the clear.
you WILL still get pulled over and ticketed, its just that you can get that ticket thrown out in court. a big hassle to screw the system, but the law is the law.
this is also why clearcorners are legal in california. as long as its white or amber........
