APC headlight wires!!!

I know i know I HATE APC STUFF!! theyre alwayys low quality and im seein tons of beat up old cars with APC stickers on the windshield. ok so heres my question. i was at autozone the other night and i wonderend into the APC section and i saw APC wires for H4 headlights. its a bunch of thick yellow wires and i think its suppoesd to intensify the power to ur headlights to make them brighter?? is this right ?? i really didnt pay much attention to the product cus it had APC printed on it! i guess its another way for APC to put out cheap quality electrical equipment on our cars so it can short circuit and catch on fire!

ak can only hope to improve
well, those are meant to be used with high-wattage aftermarket headlight bulbs.....

like cheap hyperwhite H4s 60+ watts.

I wouldn't put APC stuff in my car... don't wanna risk it!

edit:
I recommend that everybody stats with stock wattage hyper white bulbs 55/60watts.
Preferribly PIAA and MTEC.

its like the store brands, no one buys them unless they have no other choice or really short on cash. im so glad that the same company that makes colored fire extinguishers for my car also makes rims and headlights...and head lights...

I think Hefe is correct. They use heavier gauge wire so it doen't heat up so much when you use high wattage bulbs. So then when you buy those over watt bulbs they'll tell you you need the wiring harness and you get to buy that from them too.
