Foglight question

I currently have the stock fog lights that come with our cars, but the glass has cracked on both and I was wondering if anyone knows of any off brand foglights that will fit in the stock fog light assembly...or something that could almost fit and I could fiberglass in or something like that...

how did they crack? ive had mine for a year and a half, hit a dog with my car in the highway, cracked the bumper in half, but both the foglights were completely fine, and have remained fine.

It smacked it's stupid self across the driver's side. Stupid j-walking animals. BTW I got some stock replica foggies from ebay.com ($75 shipped/insane $102 installation; too advanced for me to DIY)

the funny part of this story is....2 weeks prior to the dog running out in the middle of the highway, on the exact same stretch i was driving to my friends house in the left lane, when i look over and the light post on the side of the road started coming down. i had to lock them up, swerve into the grass median, did a 180, and ended up across 2 lanes of the highway. i **** my pants, but my car was ok, unlike the two kids that were in the car in the other lane, the pole landed in the back seat of their car, they were ok, but obvioulsy shaken up from it. when the cops arrived, they were amazed i did no damage to my car, as was i. but back to the dog...i was heading home from my brothers one night with my friend, i was doing about 70 when all the sudden i see this dog come bolting across the road. it was the type of thing where i had no time to react...next thing i knew i heard a loud bang and heard the dog getting sucked under my car, i looked in my rear view and saw the dog come flying out in pieces behind my car. i drove to the next exit (was like a half mile away) and got off to make sure my car was ok. it was fine except for a crack down the middle of my bumper, and a little dog hair and blood, but that was taken care of with a car wash the next day. but nonetheless, it was pretty nasty, and i feel bad for whoevers dog that was, but maybe they should have kept a better eye on him, next time they'll learn.

speaking of foggies...im lookin into getting the oem ones...or maybe the oem-style ones...depends on if installation $$$ is too crazy at honda... my question: can i replace the h11 bulbs that come in these? or is that a hyper white bulb? i read they have more xenon in them than regular bulbs. im worried cuz all my lights are hyper white, and i cant stand having off-white lights in the mix -kno what i mean?

that dog story is crazzzy ive never hit anything yet... unless you count dead squirels

Goto the Problems part of the forum... Print off the TSB, goto your dealer and have them replaced. That is what mine is doing to one of mine.

Here's a PDF file on this problem and what can be done by Honda. It appears they have a problem with the housing-lens fit and have made an improved fog light.

Like the link says, the service manager might do that on a goodwill basis. It's worth a try.

Mine you can tell a rock hit it, and cracked it. But my dealership is ordering the new parts and installing it. Worth a shot man.
