o2 simulator

Hey i read earlier about check engine light, but how do you install the o2 simulator because i just bought one and am waiting to get it shipped here. Can you install it yourself? What brands did you guys buy? And will it matter where you placed your o2 senors after you put in the o2 simulator? need response thanks

diablo auto sports o2 sim

Its just a 5 wire hook up
red postive on battery
black negative on battery
RPM wire - blue wire to left of battery under black boot
TPS wire - red/black wire in middle wire in group of 3 wires by throttle body
o2 sim wire - cut black wire off 2nd o2 sensor, tape end going to sensor, run the sim back to the harness that plugs in the car. leave other 3 wires alone and wrap the sensor in foil. tie under car somewhere

so how has your o2 sim worked for your car so far?? I guess it reads the tps voltage and the rpm to determine which signals to give? Why do you need one?
My check engine light is on due to no kitty cat AND broken o2 sensor
Thanks

Na, I saw it somewhere, can t remember where for $50 or $52. Just go to google.com and do a search for o2 sim...

You'll see it. Pretty good invention!

Yes you can leave it on but I think your car will be running too RICH/LEAN. That is not a good thing in the long run.

Well I just installed my HP Header this past weekend and hooked up the o2 simulator to the high flow cat by extending the wires and still got a check engine light.. But after two day of driving pretty good distances.. I say I put about 400-500 mile on the car (because of work) I looked down and noticed the check engine light had turned off.. And it hasnt turned on since tuesday.. And the car runs fine...
