Getting Momo shift ****, do I need to purchase boot as well???

I hate to spend $50 on the boot if I don't need to. Is there a way I can keep the stock boot and have the fit look nice and clean?????

No you don't need the boot. I have a MOMO shifter and I have the stock boot. Just take off that silver ring piece.

Just push the boot down (after you take the silver piece off). IMO it looks better that way, I dont like the way it looks when the boot is all stretched out... or you can sew it so the hole is tight on the shifter. Just my .02

Buy a rubber washer @ a local hardware store....something with a smaller diameter than the shifter...then slip that thingy on there...voila...it should be tight & keep the boot from sliding down....
