ak can only hope to improve
and don't wait for the "oil" to dry..haha

Just slap that wet sucker back on...

Every time i clean the filter it seems that sound decreases a little bit. I'm guessing the dirt does really help sound...

Yah make sure you clean it right ....Im thinking that the reason it might get quieter could be cause the dirt is actually getting pushed into like the weave of the filter (bad)......take your time, do it right, it should be just as loud or a little bit louder (like when the filter was brand new).

Do filters have to be changed? How often should you change the intake filter? All I know about them is that they are mad expensive

i just recently used the k&n kit on my car and my friends gst. Man our filters were dirty as shieeet. overall it took about 40 mins because i let it dry really good b4 i put the oil on. Its really simple and you definitely feel a difference as well as it gets louder cause it sucks in air alot better. My friends gst picks up faster also, thats because it doesnt have a crap ton of oil and dirt on it nemore.
