DEI always makes good products. I have had the Viper 550 ESP and now I have the Viper 600 on my car. I have the voice module. It doesn't sound cheap at all.

Well I paid a lot for my alarm. I didn't just get the basic package. My shop does the straight viper 600 for $350 installed. But I added, Perimeter Sensor, Pager, Smart Windows, Trunk Pop, Voice Module, and CarCom.

I have the Viper 300 ESP. It's a good alarm. The only complaint I have is that the horns and sirens aren't loud at all.

I have the viper600 and it was only $275 for the basic alarm (on sale). I also added hood/trunk sensors, backup battery, and proximity sensors. The arming sound is okay, just a beep sound or "chirp." DEI makes good alarms and has the option to add stuff. When I was done, the total was around $550, but I'm paranoid about security.

is that the one where you hook up to your Perimeter Sensor and if some1 tries to tamper with your car, it will play your pre-recorded message?
i heard of it.. and was planning to add that to my car. i will probably record some crazy message "*****H GET OFF MAH GRILL!"

I have the standard voice module that says stuff like "Protected by Viper, please stand back." and other phrases like that. The module that you are talking about is the Programmable Voice Module where you record your voice. This module was taken off the market because of complaints from citizens and cops because the people would record stuff similar to your example of what you wanted to say. Too many people were cursing on them.

I got it no problems at all. Alarms dont do much nowadays anyway if you dont hear it your SOL. If you hear someone else's alarm go off do you look to see if someones messing with it or do you just bitch and tell em to shut it off.

Hey, I have the 300 esp too and if you guys think the alarm sounds cheap, then that your problem.
When I first got the alarm is was quiet. I went back down to the guy that did my alarm and he made it like three times louder by cutting a wire right next to the horn. I'll try to put a pic up soon so you guys cut the right one.

I've had my **** for three months, no prob. I got my **** for 150 but Im from South Cali. and I know the guys who did it for me.

Aights then. Peace.

I've installed both clifford and viper, me personally i like clifford for there add on option. You can hook up clifford to ur laptop to program the alarm and also u can change ur siren tone with laptop. The remote start feature is pretty safe for manunal cars. U should try the clifford.

I have the Viper 300 ESP, and I love it. I got it for 80 bucks installed though. I guess it helps to have friends that can get you good deals.

No, my Viper doesn't have an auto arm feature. You might be able to take it back to where you bought it and get them to reprogram it so it doesn't have the auto arm feature. Sorry it took so long to respond.
