New N1 Exhaust (no sound)???

Well I just purchased and installed an Apexi N1 axle back exhaust.. The question I have is I thought with all stock exhaust including resonator the muffler would have some sort of mellow sound.. But when I installed it and turned on the car I heard nothing.. The exhaust makes no noise what so ever... I am looking for a nice deep throaty sound.. What can you all recommend for me to do to get that sound..??
Remove resonator/bigger piping????? Advise please... Thanks
Oh yeah thanks again Gshock....

-Where did you get your N1 Axle-back from? I haven't seen that one before. That surprises me that its so quiet, I've heard other people with the Mozart axle back and HKS really love their exhausts, they have a nice tone. Hmm... yes, adding piping should make it very loud.

ak can only hope to improve
It doesn't sound throaty because it's an axle back. Go get custom 2.25" piping

So do I have to take off the resonator..then add 2.25" piping the rest of the way or will just removing the resonator do the trick..?? I dont want a raspy noise.. And also I heard alot of people saying the Mozart gave them a nice sound with all stock piping but was that with or without the resonator..??? I just dont understand why it has absolutely no sound at all..???? Oh I bought the exhaust off of a fellow 7th Gen. member...

u need to have custom piping..but when u do, get an aftermarket resinator or glass pack if u dont want the raspy/rattling noise. u used to have an axle back and did custom piping w/o a resinator, and it was loud as hell, but it sounded like fart..now i got an n1 with my custom piping and i put on a resinator and it sounds PERFECT!

the only reason it's not loud is because you have your resonator on. Just take it off. There's no need for another resonator

Ok I purchased this on the Marketplace and it said Apexi N1 Axle Back... So I figured it was bought as an axle back.. I have'nt talked to the seller yet but I think he bought the muffler by it self and got it put on and then sold as an axle back... But I may be mistaken I dont know... I just went and took off the resonator and replaced it with a straight pipe (for now).... She has sound now... A little raspy and farty when you stomp on it but sounds ok when your just cruising.. I will be doing the bigger piping though real soon...
