Mysterious Kit...?

- Today in my school's parking lot I saw an interesting blue 2k1 civic with a (rice) unpainted body kit on it. I haven't seen that body kit before though. It appeared as if it were all one piece if that makes sense? Like the whole front, fenders, sideskirts, and back bumper appeared to be attached? No seams? It had huge fender flares on it, like integrated into the fender, not attachable ones like the WW kit. The rest of the car was nothing special, no exhaust and no hubcaps. Does anybody know anything about what I'm talking about or am I going crazy?

I know of some places that do custom one piece front ends. They almost always are flared and look pretty much stock. I don't have a pic for the 7th gen but here is one for the 6th gen
one piece front end

why do u call it rice just because his kit is unpainted? maybe he just hasnt gotten around to doing it...or just got it put on and wants to drive it around unpainted to get used to it...and wat u r talkn about sounds like a molded kit altho yer not supposed to drive around with one.

Driving around with your body kit unpainted isn't Rice, it's just plain f**kin stupid. That's like drivin around with two new rear wheels and rims with stock ones in the front cause your saving up for them. Sheesh. Can't these f**kin kids just wait till it's done.

- Hmmm no digital camera so I can't take a pic... it wasn't a whole front in, just a front bumper. I'd just never seen fender flares like that... I'll find out if I see it again. No it wasn't molded, I could clearly seem the seams between the kit and the rest of the car, just not between the different pieces of the kit. No bondo or anything shown. I go to UCR, so I'm technically living in Riverside... yeah I looked up the SoCal meet, its about an hour away from me. I might go to it, I'll see when it gets closer to the 4th. I have a lot of friends in Irvine and Costa Mesa, so I might make a day trip out there.

Driving around with your body kit isn't stupid. I have my kit on right now and it isnt painted. It's actually smart... Bc since driving with a kit is alot differant if and when I hit something it isnt going to cost me another $300 bucks to get it Re-painted. So its kinda saving money.

Also and the two rims in the back and the factories in the front usually means that the car is a drag car. People put the stocks on the front to drag them so your not pulling big rims down the track.

Not to be a smart A$$ but it seems to me like you need to get some more knowledge befor you tray to clown people.

Hey Matt whats crackin.

Mike here.

I saw the same car your talking about at school, he was down on university ave and I was gettin on the 60. Anyway, I know what your talking about, and here's what I *think* he has...

It seems like its the wings west fenders, with the octane kit. He goes to Lothian ALOT! I've seen him like three times passing by, maybe you should ask some peeps there? Anyway, all of it is bondo'd up and molded on, thats why no seems.

To Fraga: I pray you get banned from this site, your pw'ing and dipshit flaming are getting boring. You're not funny. ps. Ralph sucks.

This may be the case in some instances, but most of the time it is because people spend all their money on rims and tires and then when they get a flat they can't afford a new tire, so they put they stock ones back on. Just my 2 cents.

Hey yeah I saw it in Lothian parking lot. Dude, I looked at it for like 10 min waiting for my friend and there wasn't any bondo on it. They aren't the wings west fenders, they sort of end at the top? hard to explain but these went all the way around the top, and they were BIG. I'll go look again when school starts back up, see if I can find it again... and I'll ask around... he had two big banners on the windshield with some motorsports company on it, but I forget what it was. Hmmm....

Let me be a little more specific for little miss defender here:

1. Driving with and unpainted kit that doesn't match the f**king car is stupid. It shows you have no money and no taste.
2. Driving with stock tires in front and new rims in the back on a NON DRAG CAR (example: a Cavalier or Civic) is just redicilous.

Happy.

uhh it doesn't mean he's trying to give it a drag car look or is actually dragging...it could be that he popped the two front tires and don't have money to replace them yet so he put the stock ones back on the front and just kept the back with rims cuz why change all the tires back to stock...get it??? ok done...

A car which merely 'looks like a dragger' implies that it isn't a drag car.

Again, driving an unpainted kit is STUPID. Ask any body shop, it is much HARDER to paint it with the kit on, as you run into the risk of Overspray. Overspray would suck big time.

I drove around with my kit like u see in my icon, thats unpainted, I got more compliments than I think I ever will when it is finished being painted. But I did take it to get painted and I will say that I wish I had not put it on so soon but I really didnt have a choice, anyways the bosy shop charged alot extra because of the chips and cracks, cus my kit is fiberglass so if your willing to spend the extra money to get it fixed then but the sh*t on unpainted in my case the black and white looked kina nice. BTW my kit will be dont by wednesday. I will post pics when I put it back on.

In my opinon I would rather spend the extra money to have the kit refinished by the shop and repainted than to have the kit painted and put on then hit something while learning to drive with it on and having to have the whole thing taken off and fixed and repainted.

Maybe you will see my point fraga when you get a kit.

And Fraga since you were being a smart *** when I made it clear that I wasnt trying to be I was just staing my opinion. I think that riding around with nothing on your car but altezza taillights is pretty stupid and shows that you not only have no money but have no taste either!
