no, this isn't mine. I have an AEM CAI.
I hear that it is good because the tube is plastic and doesn't heat up as hot or fast as the metal ones do.
BUT
It is sucking air off the top of the engine block(hot air) and not from under the car like a cold air intake. The colder the air the better. Heat is always what a car is fighting
Take your pick. Which is the lesser of the 2 evils. I like the AEM CAI. I think it looks better than the K&N

Notice my Bypass Valve on the intake. If water gets sucked up in the intake it will be spit back out and not taken into the throttle body.
Many people will argue against me on this one so its up to you. I live in Charelston, SC.........we are below sea level and when it rains here all of the streets flood. I still like my CAI.

Do you have an AEM CAI? Do you have the right size bypass?
There are 3 different sizes of bypass that AEM makes.
ALso, on my CAI the 2 pipes were different sizes so it will only fit on the upper pipe. I cut it like the directions say and placed it in there.

Hey, that's my pic. But I don't have that strut bar any more. No matter how I tightened it the bar itself would vibrate and the left side bracket was awful close to a brake line (I think) so I got a Neuspeed bar from Tornative and took care of all those little problems.

anyone know how da ebay strut bar fit over the FIPK??? I heard you had to do some tweaking for it to fit. Oh yah, I also have the FIPK. Its been working well for me. Funny thing wen i got it is that da day before i got it, it was raining hard in kali (go figure) and there is this huge dip flooded with water I have to go through just to get home. I told myself, dang!!! I am so glad I got an SRI rather than the AEM CAI. My the water that intake would have sucked in so much water.
