Cam shafts??

Well, I dont belive anyone is making a cam for our car yet but who all regrinds them?? just guide (sp)?? Or does anyone else do this? And will they do it for a LX?? Because I can get my head ported and pollished dirt cheap and if I do that I may as well update the cam too. Oh yeah, and cost maybe?? Just for the regrind?? Thanks a bunch

I think I remember reading a few weeks ago that someone sent their cam to Crower. I think it was going to run $75 to regrind it.

I just called gude and they said for $295 they can grind my cam to 220 degrees with a 390 grind. Now that sounds pretty big for a D17.. I'm thinking maybe he looked at something different. Does that sound right???

Just called Crower.. They said $80 with a week turn around. And they said they can't quote specs untill they see the cam.. But expect 10hp gains. 80 bucks?? sounds damn good

its $80 for the parts, if you can gow ithout your car for a few weeks, or tack on another $220 for a new cam, and then install costs money, unless your doing it yourself.... But yes, it is a good mod for the money...

I'm going to do it myself.. And my car is being covered up for the winter anyways. But my father had a good idea of just buying a complete head.. from a junk yard or something and then just messing around with that one. That way I could still have my stock stuff. Does anyone know where I can get a complete LX head?? New or used?? Thanks

another source for a re-grind on a VTEC-SOHC is Crower Cams.

They should be able to help you out.

I think the only place you are going to find a new head is from honda and they will charge you big time, like they do for everything, or a junk yard. I wouldn't mind doing the regrind, has anyone done it that can say for sure?
