I don't really care for either of them but the first one is the lesser of the 2 evils.
I like the Kaminari Ram Air hood........oh yea baby!

I like the second one (look at pic below) personally but I have a question. I really don't like the carbon fiber color/pattern. Can you paint over the carbon fiber? has anyone done this, i want the hood to match the car.

that one on the hotwheels pic is nice, is that the same as the 2nd i posted ??
cant really tell from the pic ??
i dont see why you couldnt paint the cf hood(not sure) but i guess that would
kinda defeat the purpose of it, not i know they make cf products in a blue or other colors,
not sure about the hood though

yeah the hood is the exact same thing as the 2nd pic. i'll see if i can dig up a better pic from my 1:18 scale collection. Yeah, it kinda defeats the point of CF but i can't find any fiberglass hoods that look like that for me to go get it painted. what do you have to do to a CF hood to paint it (i.e. prep, sand etc...)? Another question also might sound dumb but there are holes in the hood, what happens when it rains or snow(live in Reno, NV)? my intake probably wouldn't like that to much.

i know they have allready blue, red and yellow carbon, not sure about the preping.
there is a memeber who i believe is starting his own business using carbon here is a link to his website link(exotic image)
maybe he would be able to help you w/ the color or even tell you how to prep a regular CF hood.
the members name is Kazell..
hope it helps
yeah i really like that second one now that i can see it on the car even if it is a model.
i think im going to get that one.

I don't think that painting a carbon fiber hood defeats the purpose. You could just get them for the look, but the main purpose of carbon fiber replacements is to lighten the car, not to make it look like a checker board.
