How do you like your exhaust?
Howdy, I'm looking for a stainless cat-back system but I'm afraid I'm a bit picky...
I want something fairly quiet through the lower RPMs but opens up pretty good when I romp on it. I also prefer something that doesn't look huge like a 55 gallon drum crammed up underneath my rear bumper. I really don't want something tinny sounding - the deeper the better.
I'm kinda leaning toward a Thermal, Greddy, or Skunk2 kit.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?? ANY COMPLAINTS?? (rubbing / banging noises)
Thanks much.

i had the greddy before! it was great no problems, its not that quiet, but definietly not as loud as previous civic's
opened up pretty well when you stomp on the gas...
got the tanabe now, love it!!
prolly sell my greddy in a week....in anyone's interested?
heard the skunk2 was very loud.....not very quiet, so i dont know what your perference would be if you want a quiet exhaust?

I love my Magnaflow. It is nice and quiet for city driving. Has a nice deep one, not the buzzy tone. At the igher RPM it does not scream but it sounds pretty dang good to me. Only problem with this question is that the skunk2 guys will say skunk2 the greddy will say greddy and so on, just like I said Magnaflow.

I am running the MagnaFlow Catback system, and I have no complaints at all, its looks good, sounds good, and was easy to install.
As for noises, the only banging noises I get are from speed bumps ......

I have the greddy, its not too loud at low rpms and after about 4500 the sound of the intake takes over. My only gripe is driving with it on the highway. Its not loud but you have a real low constant sound back there, its just gonna take maybe another week to adjust from silence on the highway to that small noise. But if you play your music as loud as me then you'll have no problem with the greddy. I think the greddy has the perfect sound for my tastes though (not too loud, but makes noise when you floor it)
The more I hear about aftermarket exhausts, the more I am inclined to just keep the stock system and just put one of them big ole fake echo cans on the back. I had a magnaflow with dual outlets on the Firebird and I notice now I don't get as fatigued on long trips with the quiet Civic. Noise fatigue can get to you after awhile. Besides if I want a little extra zip, I can just turn on my Venom 400 unit.

I've got the DC sports TCS and luv it. the tip fits perfectly with the OEM body kit. Nice and deep tone. Pretty quiet around town and not extremely loud when you get on it. Installs very easily.
im starting to hate mine.. i just got mine installed like 4months ago.. its just a muffler from cbwheels.com.. so its starting to get high pitched and buzzy.. and it sounds like it pops when the car switches gears..
Does anyone here have a picture of what the Magnaflow exhaust actually looks like in the back of the car. I've read some good reviews on it, but I'd like to see what it looks like

I have the dc tcs exhaust and mine has no rubbing problems at all. No rice buzzing in the higher rpm range. IMO I love the look. In the cab on freeways the tone is almost not noticeable. makes the best deeeep sound around 3 grand. DC TCS

i want the dc tcs, how much did you guys pay for them? did you guys have a cai on before the exhaust was put on? i like the tcs because it has such a low key look, and pretty nice sound.
I'm with the Magnaflow crew
I have a catback, I got it installed over a month ago and I love it! Only problem is speed bumps but that all depends on how low your car is and how you drive
The sound is nice and deep, and not too loud...If you want an even deeper tone just invest in a CAI
For $300 (groupbuy) it's not a bad deal AT ALL!!
