More NX info and times...

I've had the NX "Gen X" kit since installed by them at NOPI. I've left it at 50shot wet and no more because I've seen how weak our bearings are from a co-worker running 150shot dry in a 2001 RSX base model. The bearings are now paper thin and he bent a valve. Oh well, now he has the chance to build it up.
Anyway, I also have the ClutchMasters FX-300 clutch and 6 lbs flywheel installed. My best time at the track is a 15.9 @ 94mph. You have absolutely no traction in 1st and 2nd gear!! By the time I catch ground at 6500rpms in second it's time to shift into 3rd gear and I usually catch up with whomever I'm racing at the track. I haven't had the chance to try the system out on the highway. I've been wanting to drop it into 3rd from 5th and see what happens.
By the way, for those of you who don't know 15.9 seconds is not a great time but the mph's show that if I can hook up at the line then I should be low 15's, high 14's.
And yes, with a bottle heater you get a much harder hit and more pressure from your kit. Without it, your 50shot is actually only performing at half it's worth.

Can you post your 1/8th mile time off the timeslip? I'd like to see how I compare.

EDIT: Lowering your front tire pressure to about 30psi will help with your traction.

what the hell are you two bitchin about? He didn't say anything about racing people on the highway. He said he wants to check out the pick-up or acceleration from a higher speed.........as opposed to acceleration from a stand still. Yes, racing on the highway is stupid, and the people that do it are idiots. But the fact that newshus went to the track to test out his setup for the first time shows that he is more responsible than the average riceboy who hooks up naws and sprays at every red light. Why must you flame people for no reason?

SMX is on a distinguished road
Ditto.

My weekend car ('69 Mustang Mach 1) does mid 12 quarters but I still drive it on the street. It ain't the car or how it's built, it's the driver. As long as you use your vehicle responsibly, no problem and no flames needed.
