K&N filter
K&N filter
I want to know what how much is the performance increase for just a drop-in K&N filter with no other mods?? I don't what to lose low end torque with a CAI or SRI. And a K&N will fit in my college budget.
I have the K&N drop in filter. Doesn't do nearly as much as any SRI or CAI would. Although it doesn't do anything to the low end, which is good, and its also affordable. It sounds slightly different at certain rpm's and such....and provides a bit more passing swiftness at 60+ speeds. Also, when i turn off the car, i've been noticing this whistle like sort of sucking noise i used to hear on my old accord...kinda cool..other than that...its mainly a great replacement filter that lasts forever since our paper filters cost too much to begin with.
The K&N Filter should add slightly more MPG instaed of HP gains.

You may get 1hp but I seriously doubt you would notice any difference at all. I would get it anyway because you'll never have to buy another filter for the life of the car. It actually saves you money. The only way to get power out of an intake is to get rid of the restriction (or some of it) and that is going to hurt low-end power.
