Hybrid Decklip
OK.... does anyone know if the trunk contour on the Hybrid is different than the Coupe? I want to put the decklip from the Hybrid on my car, but I can't figure out if it's the same. I know the coupe spoiler will fit the sedan, but since it sits flush to the trunk all the way across, it needs to be the same, I don't want it sticking up. My dumbass dealer doesn't know the answer either. If they will match, does anyone know a place where I can get it? Majestic Honda and Honda Werx don't have it listed yet.
I'm talking about this....

Uhhh, its called teh HONDA dealer. or you can ask Greg (mugenracerx) at Hondawerx.com if he can get you a better price. Dunno what colors it coems if painted at all from teh factory.
Oh and the pic of the hybrid you posted there, its makin my day. I just finished installing the OEM JDM Hybrid tail light housings and man am i glad i got those instead of the US ones. So boring, look like the same old stock ones from 01 and 02 sedans with teh round lenses instead of that weird screen that jsut lit up and looked like

Something to the tune of $455, then it has to be painted (No SSM Hybrid). They claim it to be somekind of hard to get part or something. I don't get it, it's a standard plain old part, just like anything else. Anyways... if the coupe spoiler can be had for around $350, I'd figure I could get this for about the same.
Well, I got my answers. According to Majestic Honda (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com) the decklip is not available yet for separate sale (since it is standard on the car). How FlexEX got it, I don't know, unless dealers can get them some how (maybe this is the "hard to get" part that my dealer gave me). And there is apparently enough difference in the trunk profiles of the Coupe and the Sedan/Hybrid that the decklip will not fit the coupe without modification.
So there goes that idea. I wish Honda would make a lip like that for the regular Civics too.... I don't like the wing-style spoiler, but I like that.
