Projectors, good or bad?????????/
Hey all 2 months ago I bought TYC projectors and they were fine for a while. Now i am on my second pair of bulbs and also sometimes the fuses for the headlights blow. I was wondering if any of you have the same problem and would it be better if I would just sell those things.
I know that I need H1 bulbs but I don't want to spend $75 PIAAS and have them blow in a month.
Need help??

The TYC projectors are the best in terms of fitment and function. All the other brands are nothing but problems. Are you using hi wattage bulbs? If you are, this explains your troubles. The best thing to do is stick with the bulbs that the projector came with. If you want to use aftermarket, get something with the standard wattage.
If you're set on projectors, TYC is the best. But if they're not working out for you, just stick with OEM lights.

What about TYC projectors with an HID kit. I thought that our cars used H4 bulbs, not H1. Is that correct? Ive got H4 in mine and they are awsome.
I've heard some people complain about their projectors not being bright enough.
Also, can the TYC projector orange reflector on the side be remove like in OEM headlights?

TYC are the best out there. don't get any projectors that use H3 bulbs. H3 bulbs are widely used for fog lights, so expect a beam pattern like that. Check out my member's ride for silver TYC's.

In CA you need an amber reflector.... HOWEVER The light bulb can be white or amber... !!!
Initially i thought we needed both amber reflector and bulb... wrong

the amber looks good with black projectors IMO. i have black housing headlights and i think the amber looks better than the blue on a silver car. and yeah if you get projectors i'd recommend shelling out the extra $500 for a true HID kit, otherwise they probably won't be bright enough.

Look at the members ride section. Some members with silver cars have silver, chrome, and black headlights. Decide what you like.
