O2 simulator

Is there an o2 simulator out there instead of the one from Diablo Motorsports. I bought the Hp racing header and the O2 sim from diablo but I can't understand the wiring diagram for it because it dosen't have the scheme for the 2001 vics. Isn't Hp supposed to come out with a simulator? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

dude i've posted a DIY for hooking up that o2 sim MANY times, you gotta search... Anyways real quick here is how you do it!

red/black positive negative
TPS wire goes by throttle body, I think its a red and black wire in the middle of 3 wires, but you better double check
RPM wire goes to left of battery to blue wire under black rubber boot
o2 wire goes to black wire off of 2nd o2 sensor, you gotta cut that wire, then run the the sim back into the harness leaving the other 3 wires hooked up and tie the o2 sensor under your car.

Thats it shouldnt take more than 30 minutes if you know what you are doing....

Thanks, the prob I really have though is that the shop that i took it to misplaced the instructions to the sim. So now i don't know what wire is what on the sim. i guess i'll have to try and get more directions from diablo motorsports.

the 1st one is below the header, the 2nd one is on the cat

and here are the colors off the o2 sim....
red +12v
black ground
while/blue tps
while/black rpm
white/green 2nd o2 signal

oh and the TPS wire is for sure a red/black wire.. you can find it in this group of wires 1) green yellow 2) red/black 3) yellow blue

hope this helps, later...

yeah but what is the whole purpose of the o2 simulator? I can guess from its name that it gives the ecu a artificial signal but why? and doesnt that hurt anything???? please help!

GOVTEC it tells your car that the cat is there when it's not. should you move it or decide to get rid of it (getting rid of it is a federal offence)

it doesn't hurt anything if nothing if broken. but should something happen that o2 sensor is going to keep saying everything is OK when it's not. and thats the problem if something goes wrong you won't know it.

EDIT: IMO you are better off just getting a high flow cat and welding the o2 sensor behind that so you keep everything legal and get accurate signals from the o2 sensor
