Buy an intake or not?

I'm not posting to ask about the gains you can get on a D17 with just basic bolt-ons like an intake, I'm asking whether you guys that have like AEM CAI's think it was worth the money. I am planning on buying one but I'm curious whether I should just use the $300 some odd dollars that it would cost and put it towards some nice wheels instead. What do you think? i have an AEM CAI and it sounds good...people say the gains range anywhere from 5-7 hp but i'm not sure...i haven't noticed it

I like my intake, wish that it would have done more but what can you expect out of Dseries. I really like how the car doesnt sound like it is struggling for air when you open the throttle
