The K&N is the only system that said they dynoe'd theirs against everybody else, and they saw they have the graphs. I haven't seen them ever, but I'm guessing if they saw they are the best and they can back it up with proof then they are the best.

i have the k&n fipk intake, its not cai, but a short ram with heatshield, i have a very good gain in low end and even better gain in high end, i never have another intake before so i cant compare, but im very happy with it, but the tube is plastic, but i dont care as long as it give me good performance

the actual piping to the intake are all the same to me, the key point is the actual fliter itself, k&n ones are better then the rest of them. injen, aem, matrix intakes are good

no it was about the intakes for RSX not 7gen civic. Best CAI i believe is K&N. If you want to not worry about getting water into your intake you should consider the K&N FIPK. There is a group buy going at the group buy forum.

The plastic may be an advantage, as it won't heat up the air going to the throttle body as much as a steel one would. I have an Injen CAI, and it's OK, just gotta watch the deep puddles.

The best is a combo of an Injen or AEM intake with a Jackson Racing Filter......

Do my ears decieve me?! I thought I just heard someone ask a performance question about intakes!

If you are talking about 7th gen civics, K&N FIPK seems to be the best. It's a SRI, but it has a heat shield, and based on anecdotal evidence, it out performs all other SRIs AND CAIs.

So if you are after performance, not only are you cool, but you should look into the FIPK.

If you just want a "loud intake," then it doesn't matter.
