Someone told me that since i took off that hose that goes from the intake to the crankcase, that I made it illegal, is this true?

in some states yes. If you have strict emissions, the probably. The hose takes the crankcase gasses back into the engine. Though a breather does filter, it still lets crap out into the environment tho not much to make that much of a difference. If Ohio is a pain about it then have a hose. You won't gain much by having a breather.

It probably is illegal in some states. It will also void your emissions system warranty. Might be kinda messy too with oil mist coming out there.

yeah...when i got my car inspected at the dealer in PA a few months ago....the guy pulled my aside and told me i had to put the tube back on.

LJ - I don't think that Franklin County has a law about it..... I could be wrong though. (Not sure about the surrounding counties either....)
