This is going to get locked, but I'm going to be nice and just tell you. Use the search function for basic questions like this, but here is the answer
The Injen filter will be in the front bumper, shielded from the elements and completely out of the engine bay. The piping also does not bolt on to anything vital (it just uses a bolt that holds a wiring harness in place)
The AEM filter sits between the radiator and the tranny. It can get a bit toasty behind the radiator, and it is open from the bottom, so things *could* get kicked up and damage the filter. Mounting the piping involves moving a bracket on the transmission and dealers may try to blame you for tranny problems (should they arise) because you messed with the bracket.
That should set you straight. You're going to get the same gains from either, somewhere from 1-3 HP. So just pick one.

is it highly recommended for a bypass valve on the Injen cold air intake?
and j/w - 1-3HP? that's all .. hmm, some sites are making rediculous statements, talking about up to 15.
haha, i guess i was wrong trusting that.

its gonna be hard to get outstanding hp from just an intake on our gen civics. honda has made our cars hard to beef up horses without adding a turbo/supercharger.

government chip and new regulations + our cars are ULEV = Ultra Low Emission Vehicles thats why it prolly isn't a good increase for hp if your wondering upgrad ecu and you'll see differences

a) have to be in water that's at least a foot high
b)have to flood the bumper cavity
c) be stupid enough to drive through water up to the headlight
d)you have gravity on your side, the injen pipe is about 4' long, and the water would need to have enough force to travel uphill all the way.
It's just very unlikely that you'll ever need it.
And the 15 HP claims are generic. K&N claimed they got 15 HP out of a 4.7L Jeep Cherokee, and plastered that number next to every filter.

In my opinion, the bypass on an injen is worthless. You would
a) have to be in water that's at least a foot high
b)have to flood the bumper cavity
c) be stupid enough to drive through water up to the headlight
d)you have gravity on your side, the injen pipe is about 4' long, and the water would need to have enough force to travel uphill all the way.
i agree!!! SAID IT PERFECT!!
