Aren't Companies Waiting A Little Too Long To Make Parts?

Well I read somewhere that civics change body style every 3-4 years right? Well 2003 is the third year of the new civics, and 2004 might be a new model. I think it's funny that HKS and no other company have made a turbo kit for our cars until now, when this generation civic is almost over. The tokico gas shocks as well, because I've been waiting for those. It's pretty dumb is companies put out stuff right before a change in body style, cuz the demand is gonna go down with the release of the new model.

Well, main reason you haven't seen many engine mods other than I/H/E come out, is because the D17 platform isn't really tuner-friendly. I remember reading someone came out with some interal work parts, but I can't remember what they were or who made them. Check out in GAR cause that's where I saw it. Everybody is now excited about the new K series engine. There will be parts out, it's just going to take time. Most of us have been patient 18+ months. This stuff isn't done overnight! Yeah, not only turbo kits and stuff but K&N only JUST released the drop-in filter for our cars like a month or so ago. That just seems like a long time to me for even a drop-in filter. Maybe I'm wrong.

I personally wish I had waited now till 2003.... it seems like people get more for their money now with the alloy wheels being added to the EX and the interior seems all around improved. Oh well.... I like my car

The sticker also came down $200, even with all the extra stuff.
But yeah, I'm still liking mine.

As far as parts being out and the next generation.... So what? We've all got this generation, just because a redesign comes out, doesn't mean we're all going to run and buy an 8th gen. What's the point? And then you'll sit around for another 3 years waiting for D18 (guessing) parts to come out.
So just sit tight, stuff will come out. They can't design quality parts overnight, it takes time to get them right and when they get here, they'll hopefully work the way we want them to.
