Need a Pic of the Spot Under the RS Badge...

So yeah, anyone have a pic of the spot on the RS grill under the RS badge? If not, then anyone know what shape the plastic is in under there? Is it a rectangle, or is it shaped like the RS badge? If it's a rectangle, then I wonder if I can transfer my LX badge there...

Ah, good pic. So there's a little cut out under the R and a little dip betwean the R and the S up top. Then there's a rounded corner to the S on the bottom right. Hmm... I wonder if it would be possible to modify it somehow? Maybe cutting out some plastic very carefully? Maybe filling in some plastic? ::thinking::

Yeah. It'll work, but you'll hafta do just a bit of cutting and stuff because the 'mount' is in the shape of the RS. Or, you could just stick it on and let the back look funny.

Just get the "Altezza" style grill and you won't have any recessed cut outs to deal with. Then you can stick on any emblems you like. My OE "H" emblem is stuck on with 3M double sided molding tape. It's been on there for almost a year.

Exactly. I like the shape of the RS grill better. Better hole shape. Better attachment since it works with the sedan's plastic backing. Already has built-in H emblem. Just looks better overall IMO.

Coupe has a plastic shield behind it too, if that's what you are talking about. But having read some of Grey's posts, I'm sure you'll come up with a way to engineer it. I just haven't had much luck with cutting plastic so it looks right.

Does it fit with the shield? It sure does. Mine is on with all the OE stuff that came on the car except the OE grill.

Ah, okay. I didn't know that. I guess I see it now in the pic. So scratch what I said about the better attachment. I just like the style of the RS grill better than that of the Altezza grill.

I don't think the RS one was out yet when I got mine. But I didn't want anythin that said "RS" on it. Removing the "RS" seems to be a no, no, but replacing it is an idea with merit. But then since I shaved everything off the back except the "H", I didn't want to add more emblems to the front. All in keeping with how you want your car to look.
