At the moment I am developing an alarm system that uses a video camera placed secretly in your car. The system works just like this: 1-on/off switch, 2-1in wireless camera's, One auxillary battery, 1 digital 2.4GHZ video reciever. The camera's would both be installed inside the car and 1 would face the driver side and the other would face the passenger side. the camera's would connect to the auxillary battery and would have to be turned on with the on/off switch. THe camera's would keep an eye on the the two front seats and back seats. "I hope that you put these camera's some where not to obviuos". These camera's would transmit picture of your car's interior to the Digital 2.4ghz reicever, that reciever would be connected to a VCR in your home. and all you would need I is blamk video tape and you watch your car the whole night. And if any thing should happen you have it all on tape and if your insurance company tries to give you sh*t, just hand them the tape. Let me know if any one is interested

Don't count on the discount..... actually most insruance company's give discounts based on what comes factory installed in the car in the first place..... info they usually get from the VIN number on the car. Gotta love how our government gives insurance company's the right to completely screw us over......

My insurance company is willing to give a 15% discount when this system is installed. I'm not to sure how other insurance companies work but in Mass you'll get the discount

You know what. This is a great idea, as long as my car gets messed with outside my house! What would you do if your car was vandalized in a mall parking lot? In a parking garage? Friends house? I think you get the point. You definately do have a novel idea though. Hope something works out for you.

U have any other pics/info concerning the camera system? depending on the size of the camera would depend on where u could hide it. I cant remember off hand if u mentioned the size but i think tomorrow ill look through my car and see where i could stash some cameras.

sounds very interesting and $550 shipped is very nice considering what money we have put into our cars, would be well worth to have that system.

The camera's are exactly 1inx1inx1in so they are very small. I was thinking about mounting them in the corners of the the pocket under the stereo and just point them towards the friver and the passenger seat
