dude dont flame if you've never heard that used before. a warm air intake is another name for a short ram. it is called a warm air simply because it draws in air from the engine bay, which is generally warm or hot. a cool air intake draws cooler air from outside the engine bay. in dallas your best bet would be a CAI.

hahaha wait its the actual term for a short ram. you are sucking up a air from a conical filter right next to the engine...wtf?? only thing i could think youre ramming is the supposed 8-15 hp gain into your head.

theres no difference performance wise between an AEM CAI or SRI. I've had both. Only change is a slight difference in sound.

Skip the AEM crap and get a K&N. Even with the FIPK you get a heat shield that keeps the filter area from getting hot. Plus the K&N intakes fit our car perfectly without using all those dumb colored rubber adapter things.

There's a couple of stories on here where guys had CAI's suck up water and bend all the stuff inside their engines. I just woulnd't want to take that chance.

where are these stories? The filter isn't very low, you'd also have to cause flood damage to the interior. And user ALLMAN on this site noticed a difference when he converted his injen SRI to CAI.

According to AEM that is not possible. Maybe they were full of S--t and you are right, but I called them and they told me that you can't fit an AEM SRI on a M/T you'd have to buy a CAI and not use the lower pipe. Also their CAI doesn't fit an auto. I bought a CAI and haven't stopped loving it. Also I haven't found a dyno on our cars but the RSX CAI Vs. SRI is on their website and there is a big difference.
