Newbie Question (but I did do a search)
First post. I live around the Tampa / Brandon area in Florida, and I am looking to buy a body kit in the next couple months. Is it a lot cheaper just to get a kit that uses front and back lips as opposed to all new bumpers? Is it a lot cheaper to paint, also? I have a red ex coupe. Can anyone give me any idea on pricing for the lips, or bumpers, and paint all together. I searched a bit and got a basic idea, but working minumum wage takes a lot of planning . Thanks in advance, Bill
lip kits are obviosly the cheaper way to go. beacause its not a total new mod to the car. i wouldnt recomend selling you OEM bumpers just incase you ever need them again (i.e. accident or just want to change back to factory) always good to have. also any chance you might know anyone that owns or works at a garage. just get the paint code of the car and they can order the paint direct from honda.. and might be cheaper that going to an auto paint store.my friend told them he go in a accident and needed paint to fix car,and they sent it to him for free, hey its worth a shot... lip kits can be many diff cost but just find out what style you want and search either the company or ebay if you want to save money.
P.S. minimum wage sux.

Dude go with the OEM Lips and skirts. First off if you can find the right place they are cheap, and second they come in the factory colors already (no need to worry about getting them painted). Third if u go with aftermarket Kaminari Kit will run u anywhere from 450 to 600 depending on where you get it. But then u would have to take it and get it painted. My personal favorite is the tsunami lip kit. Well I would go with Tsunami front lip, with everything else being oem. IMO

Typical. First post and it's technically in the wrong place. That's okay though. I'll move it.
This sounds like an Other Parts and Products post. Yep yep.

i would have to disagree with everyone here, i think it depends on the kit. mainly if its fiberglass or urethene.. most glass kits you should be able to find for 450 even maybe 350. the kaminari lip is like 600. it just depends on the kit. i prefer a full replacement tho, well unless if your going to mold the lip kit to the car. as for paint of course the lip kit is going to be cheaper cause its only like 1/3 of the size of a full. expect to pay around 300-500 for a lip kit. maybe 400-800 to a full. but keep in mind that the paint quality might not be as good with a cheap paint job.

Overall, i found that lip kits are usually more subtle. Full replacements are more aggressive. It depends on what type of look you want.
