i have an auto matic and if i am going to upgrade my car alot(170 or so to the wheels), so i want to know if i should get tranny cooler, my friend has one on his 300zx. he says it will make the tranny last longer, and it works kinda like a intercooler.

first of all, he has a NA(with out turbos) highly modded. with a modified automatic transmition, he has about 245-250 hp. and the tranny cooler is mounted to the front of his bumper.

Coolers is coolers. Meke things not run too hot, not wear out so soon. You see they run some coolant through a little radiator and route it around the bearings and stuff you want to cool and.......................... well you get the idea.
