I think they are shipping a sim with the package for the check engine light problem. However, I am almost certain the fitment issues have still not been resolved. Euro posted up something about it not long ago. They should pop up when they get the new header that fits properly.
I think hp is offering the downpipe by itself now. It looks like it would connect up to the dc or stock header. It's not like the downpipe that comes with the 4-1 race header. Anyhow, hp is really missing out on a huge amount of revenue. How long of we been waiting for them to fix the darn thing.......

I've had the header for about 3 or 4 months now.. no problems at all. Install was a little challenging.. but we got it. Just shaving the front motor mount. also, the gains are great.. it's the best mod for the money i've done yet. My check engine light WAS on.. and it went off.. it's been on once more since then. The cat is practically a hollow pipe.. so it does smell a little when i've been gettin' on it pretty hard. It sounds good too. I also want to point out that i wrecked my car a month ago. A guy cut me off and slammed on his breaks, so i rear-ended him. Since my car is dropped.. my bumper didn't get touched (he was in a full-sized truck) His bumper took out my grill, headlights, hood, and all that good stuff in front of the motor. I was afraid that since we shaved the motor mount it surely busted, and my car would get totalled due to engine damage. A motor mount did bust, but it was the front LEFT motor mount. No damage to the motor, or header, or the shaved mount. You guys should just dish out $250 and grab this header.

I have seen the hp header w/high-flow cat installed on an ex coupe manual. I have no idea why people say "shaving" the motor mount. It is more like cutting a 1/3 of it off, literally. "Shaving" implies that it is a job for a rotary hand tool like the dremel and that only a small amount has to be sanded away for the header to fit. I don't know what you would use to remove that much of the mount. The metal is about an 1/8 to 1/4 thick. I have no clue as to how it affects the engine and the strength of the mount itself. The thought of someone seeing the mount when I go to sell it is what scares me.
Plus, I am thinking that a dc header with a catless downpipe may be a better option. Seems like the long-tube race design with the high-flow cat would really kill bottom end torque something awful. I am thinking 2x as bad as an intake and exhaust. I don't know though, just my assumption. I am sure someone will offer up an opinion who has experience with this setup.

DON'T *CUT* THE MOTOR MOUNT.
Edit: Cuz I said "shave."
