Just installed my CAI..Please answer quick!!

I just installed my AEM CAI arrording to the DIY. IT went well, just that my check engine light was on for the first 5 minutes after I installed it and went off. Is that just the car getting used to the new air in the engine. Also the filter is slightly touching the Transmission. Is that bad? I slid a piece of rubber inbetween the filter and the trannie do it won't touch. Is this good enough??

disconnect the negative (black) cable from the battery for 10 min and then hook it back up and then start the car and let it idle for 10 min. then drive

ak can only hope to improve
i hope the rubber piece doesn't melt. i believe that it's ok for the filter to touch the tranny metal.

Dbone39- reset your ecu like injencivic and 4drcivc said. and the check engine light will not appear. make sure that the sensor is plugged into your intake with the rubber gournment attached.. if it is not your check engine light will come on.

ak- the rubber filter holder won't melt. i have had mine for 8 months and detached it twice to clean it with no problems

dbone39- the stock oem breather hose that connects the intake to the head is fine an will not melt
