They look bright to me, but I wouldn't know because I've never seen them in person. Do they project pretty much the same beam as the stock headlights? I'm just curious, because I hear from a lot of people that they have a narrower "field of vision" than the stock headlights.

How about a picture of your car parked facing a wall (20 ft away) so that we can see how the beam pattern projects?

those pics don't show anything other than oncoming glare and no representation whatsoever of it even being projectors.

It's hard to see in the pics, but ID's lights are bright as hell. Since they're projectors, the beam of light is a bit narrower, as opposed to the wider beam that results from the glow of the stock headlights.........but they project a little further than stock. And I love the way they look on his car during the day.

yeah, the first and second one in that post shows a little more.
In the 3rd pic, Id's car is the one facing the camera. Notice how you can see where the beam hits the ground, and you can't on the other cars with stock headlights. I had never notice that before.

The fact that it is narrower is not exactly a good thing for headlights. The narrower beam pattern is probably contributing to the light's brighter look, since it is concentrating the same amount of lumens over a narrower beam.

Second, a further beam could just be a function of the projector aimed higher. We could very well adjust the multi-reflector housing on the stock Civic lights to aim up and therefore further (like a high beam).

I think the only way to see the beam pattern is to park perpendicular 20' feet from a wall and take a picture. That way you can see how it disperses horizontally, if the cutoff is proper and not too high/low, and show how uniform the beam is (no hotspots, but generally not a problem with projector lenses).

Well, the beam just seems narrower because it's a concentrated beam as opposed to a glow from one big light. And I'm pretty sure they're adjusted fine. I was in front of him for a while and he never blinded me. The lights did, however, stand out because of the concentration and shape of the light. If you download the 7thgencivic.com video, there's some footage where you can see the lights much better. But yeah, a picture of the lights up against a wall would be helpful.

the beam is indeed narrower, and it isn't as bright on the road, it is though, bright when you look at it

the projector was aimed by a collison center, they said it's right

none of my camera can take a picture of the car shooting a beam to the wall, todd need to get his *** down here

Projector headlights are supposed to have a sharp cutoff line wether it is wide or narrow. The shape of the ellipsoid distinguishes the shape of light projected on the floor. Im gonna wait for these chrome tyc's to come out then get an h1 hid kit from and also buy hella 90 MM projectors and mount them on my bumper for the wider and more lumenous on road pattern. The setup should be sick ,but i still need to know how the tyc's cutoff look....
