AAARRRGGGG! POS PROJECTORS! HELP!

WTF!!! I installed some new H1 bulbs in my halo projectors and then my right head light stopped working and my brights started going on real dim when I turn my lights on. I replaced the original bulbs to see if it made a difference but its the same shlt. I dont know what I did or how I am supposed to restore it to how it was. It is sooo annoying and sooo ghetto. it makes my car look like @$$ at night not to mention its illegal and replacing bulbs doesnt seem to help if anyone knows whats going on here please help. to the rest: beware of the halo projectors, theyre real cheap! they fogged too BTW

I dunno man. Sounds kind of fishy to me. I think you better check your wiring on those things. Could have burned something up in the wiring harness for the headlights along with the wiring harness in the car.

word! which fuse????

ok i got 2 problems

1. right headlight does not light up at all, neither does right bright

2. both left and right brights light up very dim when regular lights are on, when brights are on, the left bright shines but the right remains dim

so the right light not going on might be a fuse problem?

whats up w/ the brights going on dim w/ regular head lights? how do I fix that?

how could i have fried my wires?

thanks people!

are you sure it is the fuse? Unless the brights and the lights are on different circuits, the fuse should be fine. You could have splice a wire and grounded it out. There is extra resistance that is taking up your juice. The fuse is the best part to check first anyways. If you do not which one, I advise you to consult your owners manual. They gave it to you for a reason.

OK my original problem was caused by a blown fuse so I replaced the fuse and my lights were fine for a day untill my fuse blew again. ive gone through four fuses since then. why do my fuses keep blowing?! everything seems ok and i dont see and wires crossing or such

Umm, the fuses blow cuz the current is more than what the fuse can support. i recommend getting a new wiring harness, the "heavy duty" ones. They connect directly to your battery and turn on Via a Relay when the lights are turned on.

teher is also a relay which turns on EACH headlight. its located in the fuse compartment under the hood.

ill look into those things but it seems to me that the stock fuses should work fine. they worked ok w/ the clear h1 bulbs that came w/ the projectors. im only having a problem w/ the right head light too. the left is fine

civiccowboy will become famous soon enough
is it possible that the headlight is wired wrong inside? Actually, i just looked at my projectors (which I will never put in my car, probably throww away) and noticed that the wires that go to the bulbs have a connector inline with a rubber cover over it. Check to make sure the rubber cover is covering all of the metal connections and not touching the back of the bulb housings which are metal! I will bet that this is your problem! Be sure to check it carefully. Electrical problems came be hard to solve and it usually ends up being something simple like this!

got exact same problem I am assuming it's the relay that has to be changed, the dealership wants too much for it! From 115 to 150 canadian bucks...it's so frustrating I have to check the interior fuses.

The new harness is cheaper here: http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlight...re-harness.htm

It is $55 Plus $8 shipping and handling via UPS Ground (1-7 days)

Here is the harness for the 9004/h4:

There was a recall on some of the civics for a headlight issue. There people that were driving and the light would just cut off. I received the recal notice in the mail when and had something replace for free at the dealer.

Are you the original owner? If so depending on the vin number of your ride it might be replaceable by honda even if you have aftermarket light. However some dealers are *** clowns!

Sorry to hear that. I bought TYC projectors for the added safety of not risking buying POSes. I hope its not anything major.
