ADJUSTMENT OF CAM GEARS

I have just ordered an AEM Cam Gear and i've heard that you should advance it 3 degrees w/ just an intake/exhaust combination. Has anyone heard different or actually dyno-ed it? What kind of adjustments have ya'll heard?

you're gonna need to do your own dyno-tuning to get the most out of that cam gear. i don't think anyone on this site has one yet

ive heard that the cam gear is a major waste of money unless you get the cam shaft to go with it. Thats all that i have heard.

i heard its a good idea to advance it 2 degrees with the basic exhaust and intake. if u have headers, thats a different story. you might wanna consult a KNOWLEDGABLE speed shop and see if anyone there can help you, other wise make friends with a mechanic from the local HONDA dealer and see if he can give u some good advice. or u can just call a technician at AEM and save everyone the headache....

I just installed my cam gear, see this thread too:

I just left the timing at 0 for now but I am going to try to advance to 2 degrees and see how that works, i have intake, exhaust, header, donwpipe, ignition so I might be able to go even more....
