i got an ex automatic with injen cai race division and i dont have any problems at all out of it. the last thing your gonna worry about when you intake sucks up water is your cai, you need to worry about your engine. you will be fine with you cai. i have an automatic and no problems from it. you wont suck up any water unless you submerge your front bumper in water . so i wouldnt worry.

you know you lose hp with a cai on a auto but on the other hand a intake does not give us much more power anyways

Id love to see the dyno sheet if any one has them to post on that comment... You do not lose any power by having a CAI on an automatic, thats like saying you lose power from having an exhaust system if you have an automatic. CAI alone with a stock exhaust system will do barely anything for your car except pull cooler air in and make a more dense compression. Which pretty much makes a cleaner burn when the fuel ignites. Intake isnt meant to be used to get massive power gains. Engine work is. The intake is the part that makes it possible to get the "power" out of those engine components. And if you really knew anything about the new civics, automatic and manual are 2 whole different animals. The automatic has a weak torque converter which if was swapped out for a performance system would run just as fast as a stick being run by someone who knows how to shift properly. the manual is obviously faster as a straight line racer having tighter gear ratios then the auto and also having 5 gears instead of the autos 4. Oh and when you combine a CAI and a larger exhaust pipe setup like 2.25" piping to a performance muffler you actually get better low end torque out of the automatic than you would from a SRI just because of the cooler air being compressed.

You really should research your car better before you make stupid quotes like that one. Yes I have an aoutmatic, and no im not ashamed or embarrased of it. I dont race my car, if i did i wouldnt be driving a civic. Besides, how am i supposed to eat my breakfast, change the radio station, hold a cup of coffee between my legs and not spill it and still be able to drive if i did have a manual transmission??? (BTW, i dont have cup holders because teh spot was converted for my mini-entertainment system)
