Switching with fake parts????????
I was at a local performance shop, and im talking to the guy about how im looking into buying an exhaust and how competitive he is on price with other places. so he tells me hes competitive unless theyre mail-order. he said that many of those places take knock-offs and put them in like a name brand box and sell it to you as a name brand. (we were talking about Konig Mozart exhaust)
naturally i understand that some do this, and its really hard to know in advance or even after you get the part, but i just want to know whether places like NOPIonline or EuroticElectronics do this. I mean they're prices are really low. the local dude quoted me $290 for the Mozart axle-back, and NOPI has it for like $205 (before S/H). I dont want to get screwed, but i also dont want to pay $90 more for the same part.
ive checked out NOPI and Eurotic on BBB, and they have no customer complaints, but i just want to make sure they dont switch cheap "singapore made" parts (this is how the local shop owner put it... )
anyone?

yeah, i heard that the service is great and theyre fast and all that....i want to know whether you got the part that you thought you were ordering?? when i pay for an HP racing or Mozart exhaust (or whatever) i want to know that thats what im getting and not some cheap immitation. i mean im just wondering how they can have such a drastic price difference for the same part. or is the local dude just trying to screw me himself???
Nopi is a great place to order from, man. I always got exactly what I ordered the first time, which is a lot more than you coud say about several other online retailers...plus they have good prices--sometimes awesome prices on close-outs.

yeah, i had a feeling that the guy marks up his prices way up because hes in kind of a rich area so no one cares there. he quoted me $230 for an injen SRI that ive found for $150 online...so im thinking im just gonna go to him for lightbulbs and stuff. LOL
but since you all say NOPI is all good, ill be ordering my exhaust from them, most likely.
anyone know anything about Eurotic Electronics?? they say theyre the official distributor of HP Racing, but theres no way to verify that...is there?? anyone know how to contact HP Racing directly?

WTF? I think that going to all that trouble to switch w/fake parts is a little too much trouble to go to to make a few extra bucks. Come on; inspect the parts yourself and see. I doubt they will be fake. Not worth it.
