Cat gone - Kamikaze on

For anyone who's interested, I just got the Kamikaze header installed on my LX (no more cat). I don't have emissions tests where I live, so I don't have to worry about that. As far as the header goes, it comes with a downpipe already welded to it (which is nice). It made my car sound much better along with my intake and exhaust. It's raining right now, so I haven't got a chance to really put my foot down, but l did give it a little extra gas, and there was a noticeable difference in power. I would have to say that I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone else with an LX (also fits DX).

Also, before anyone asks, it was $275 through importparts.com.

How many O2 sensor spots on the header are there? And where do you live where there are no emissions?

I live in Oklahoma City. There are two 02 sensor spots on the header, so the check engine light doesn't come on. The shop that installed it for me told me they had to lengthen the 02 sensors, but I didn't find out exactly what they did.

Does anyone know if there are any good chrome headers out for the LX (automatic) that maintains the Cat?

Yeah, I definitely felt the difference. One main reason is that the airflow isn't as restricted since the cat was removed. I would definitely recommend it, especially now because there is a group buy going on for it. Last I checked it was down to $205, but with more people it will probably be even cheaper. Check out the following link. Group buy for LX header

Ok let's see if it got it right. If I get the Kamikaze LX header and downpipe, I'm gonna loose my cat, since that is welded on the OEM header. Right ?
So I'll need a new high flow cat, for emmissions and to avoid problems with engine lights and so on ? Right
Downpipe is piece between cat-back and header. Right ?

So where the hell do I put the new cat ?

You don't. You completely lose your cat. Plus, the engine light is going to come on either way. You have to get an O2 simulator to get it to go off. They're about $45.

Coin drops now. Damn, I can't ditch the cat coz of emmision laws. How much longer did we have to wait for the DC header ? 1 month ? 3 weeks ?

Someone posted a while back that DC is supposed to have an LX header out in August. However, I also talked to DC, and they said they weren't going to make a header for the lx because of emissions. Someone at DC is full of sh#@!, but I'm not sure which is correct.
