Custom piping
I was just wondering if you can have 2.25" custom piping and still keep the resonator... and if there will be a difference in the sound.
Reason being... I want my N1 muffler to be loud but not too lawn mowerish.

Why even pay all that money just to leave that bottleneck in the middle......at least get a high flow-resonator since your spending all the cash anywayz..........What kinda muffler do you plan on getting???

its very hard to say...2.25 is the perfect size though, the only thing is yes you should keep some sort of a resonator because it holds back some terrible sounds that usually come out without a resonator. but the stock civic's resonator suckks...its 2 big n doesnt let out much sound at all...
so get a aftermarket smaller resonator... i used to have a full 2.25 piping on my 93 civic, the piping was from a type r...if you can get that from someone who got a new catback on a type r! then pick it up, its 2.25 with 2 resonators but its still loud
its the best thing u can get for ur exhaust system!
