I don't know if the side airbags affect the seats being redone, but check out my 2k2 with leather. I ordered it from Katzkin. Found an installer in my area, and cost me $1050 installed.

doesn't the factory charge like 1000 or 1500 for leather? i would rather get katzkin, you could customize it the way you want. have two tone, double stitched, your own name on it, etc..

Your leather looks nice as hell loki, did it include the leather sides for the door panel, and front + rear seats?
How much was it minus installation?

Thanks! The price included the door panels, front and rear seats, and perf'ed inserts. I Think the kit cost $750, and labor was $300. The kit and labor have a year warranty.

the side airbag deploys from the seat itself. from the posts in the forum the srs system in general does not go off and deploy airbags in an accident.

I work for Classic Soft Trim in Commerce California and we do national sales. We carry all car patterns and we have a very good looking Carbon Fiber leather kit. It's the greates looking seat I've seen. I'm not sure on who exactly you have to call because I only deal with businesses and car dealers. For the best in aftermarket Leather go to MYCST.com I'm sure there's a number there somewhere.

Here's a nice ad. The inserts have a really cool carbon fiber look. It's what I'm getting in mine. You can also 2-tone it with any color you want. and we can do stitching or piping.I'm personally getting CF inserts and Silver leather sides and everything else in black leather. I wonder if Katskin uses real leather?

LOL! Of course they use real leather. You have a very nice company there, and I even considered using you over Katzkin. The only thing that held me back was you were in Commerce, which is a bit farther than I wanted to go.

Don't do your company a dis-service by putting down your competition; it does you more harm than good.

If you have to build youself up by putting others down, you're really NOT that good.

I was just making fun of the name, of course they use real leather. Don't get me wrong I like Katzkin a lot of people who didn't get a position here got one there, we're right around the same size and CST is just down the street from Katzkin. By the Way, our customers sometimes make me laugh when they tell me, "Well if you can't get it to me by tomorrow, I'm going with Katzkin on this order" I love my customers. Something we don't offer is the Suedeskin they have, it looks cool but I prefer the CF over that, much more agressive look. Just my opinion, Shoutz to my ex-coworkers from Katzkin.

is that true? i mean i know theres a bunch of people that got it from Katzkins, but are they "the best?" CST's website seems professional and the color choices are the same, plus theyve been around for a long time, and they have locations all over apparently. the only thing is that they dont have suede inserts...but whatever.
i havent really researched this topic too indepth, tho. but is that the general concensus that katzkins is the best?

edit: i mean what does everyone think??

oh yeah and is there a diy somewhere on how to remove the entire dash? i hear its a pretty intuitive thing to do, or did you just have to leave some stuff on to paint it? im assuming you painted the dash and stuff yourself

Katzkin offers an unmatchable quality...this is for sure....
However, for 01-02 Civic COUPE....only COUPE....u will find Katzkin does not really fit on headrest...and actually it is pretty ugly too....that's the only issue...
